I have visited more than 200 destinations, ports, and cities across 75+ countries and territories with my published work encompassing the places I’ve been and the adventures I’ve experienced. I also write about the cruise industry, including cruise travel and cruise ship employment.
My first cruise was not as a passenger, but as a crewmember, on the Sun Princess (Princess Cruises) in 1999. During my years as a Junior Assistant Purser, I held the positions of Captain’s Secretary, Guest Services Associate, Assistant Practica, and Head Cashier in the Casino.
It was during my first contract that I met a Third Officer, an Italian (from Sardinia). We were married three years later and in 2003, our twin daughters were born.
Although I no longer work for a cruise line, I travel full-time with my husband who is now a Captain. When not cruising and traveling the world, our family calls Canada home (with frequent trips to Sardinia).
